CHANAKYA NEETI

Chanakya has said in his verse that the trees in the forest, which are straight, are cut first than the one which are not straight.

CHANAKYA NEETI

Language/ भाषा: English | हिन्दी

If we compare it with our life, then the question may come in your mind that what kind of life should we live- an honest, a selfless or a self-minded?

To know the answer to this question, first we have to correct our definition of straightforward. Do you relate straightforwardly to an idiot? Most people make the same mistake. Stupid means anyone comes and does anything to you and you do nothing. So here you are stupid. And straightforward means the one who never harms  anyone for his benefit. But if someone continues to harm you for his benefit, then what you will be called here- straightforward or stupid? Obviously, stupid.

So be straightforward and simple in life. Advantage of this - You will never have enmity with anyone. Because if you use someone else for your benefit, then you will become his enemy for your whole lifetime! If you still continue to behave like this, then your enemies will increase. So, for a person who will have so many enemies, will they not even look for a chance to take revenge? Will your life not be scary and dangerous? What is the fun of living such a life? So always be straightforward in life but don't be stupid.

Chanakya, who said that the line stated in the starting, was he not straightforward? Did he harmed others for his own benefit? No, he did not even think that others should be harmed for his own benefit. He first thought about public interest, thought of society and later about himself. If he wished he could have lived in Palace but still lived in a small hut.

With this we come to know that Chanakya was not selfish and not stupid as well. He was extremely intelligent. We should also be intelligent and sensible and at the same time simple and straightforward.

From all these things, we should understand the moral that, you must be powerful in life but never use that power to suppress others so that the world cannot suppress you.

"THE FRAGRANCE OF FLOWERS SPREADS
ONLY IN THE DIRECTION OF THE WIND,
BUT THE GOODNESS OF A PERSON
 SPREADS IN ALL DIRECTIONS."
- Chanakya
